Staff Accountant

Qualifications: Madison accounting firm looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to prepare financial statements for our clients.
Must have strong QuickBooks skills, ensure compliance with GAAP and the ability to work independently.
The responsibilities of this position are the following: * Utilize QuickBooks accounting software.
* Enter data for client revenue and expense transactions.
* Perform bank reconciliations and any adjusting entries.
* Prepare monthly/quarterly payroll and sales and use tax reports.
* Prepare Financial Statements for clients.
* Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: * Detailed knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software.
* 1 year working with QuickBooks software.
* Knowledge of general bookkeeping standards.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Organized and detail oriented with ability to prioritize work.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines.
* Ability to follow instructions as given.
* Good attendance record.

Hours are flexible and work can be done remotely.
Additional hours and Saturday mornings are required during the tax season in January & February.
Summer hours from May - November, hours on Friday are 8-2.
