CapSpecialty is seeking a Billing & Collections Specialist.
This individual will deliver billing ease and exceptional service to agents and policyholders through all payment channels.
Proactively identify system and internal processing improvements.
Collaboratively work in a team environment, providing knowledge and assistance to other team members.
Receive or post cash as required.
Reconcile financial statements.
Pursue collection activity.
Perform daily report analysis to ensure the quality and accuracy of financial data.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting agents and policyholders, through any means of communication, with account statement and invoice information.
This includes reconciliation of financial data, including commission data, as well as resolving system issues.
Rotate specific team duties such as mail indexing and direct bill commission processes.
Receive or post cash, process return premiums and premium modifications in accordance with proper department and accounting procedures.
Deliver accuracy and efficiency in premium handling and processing.
Work collaboratively with the Billing team members, Finance and IS, proactively identify obstacles in delivering easy billing, initiate changes and pursue until resolved
Education & Experience:
2-year Associate degree in business, or equivalent work experience.
1-3 years of experience with financial decision-making, accounting or cash handling.
Proven exceptional customer service skills, communication, problem solving ability, and team interaction skills.
