Overview
This position will be responsible for moderate to difficult engagements, often working directly with our clients.
This position will also provide direction, advice, assistance, or training to less-experienced accountants.
80% - 90% Client Work
Work with Reviewer to complete assigned tax returns and tax planning.
Gain expertise and awareness to various aspects of tax work.
Assist clients with bookkeeping.
Post adjustments to trial balance.
Create and maintain property and equipment and calculate depreciation and amortization.
Manage assigned administrative and other client related tasks.
Successfully and appropriately participate in internal and external meetings.
Maintain confidentiality with client information in accordance with related laws and regulations and adhere to all SVA policies and procedures.
Ensure all duties are performed efficiently, and to a satisfactory level, typically requiring 55-60 hours/week during busy season (including weekends), and 40-45 hours/week during non-busy season.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field required.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience as a staff accountant in a public accounting firm or equivalent work experience required.
Professional Certification: Pursuing CPA Examination preferred.
If appropriate, pursuing the EA Examination required.
