The Financial Planning and Analysis Director is responsible for financial planning, analysis and reporting for the entire organization.
This role provides financial insight and perspective to various business partners to support organizational decision-making.
The Finance Director (FP&A) should be a strong and collaborative leader and demonstrate an expert understanding of both financial and general business processes
Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and coaches team of financial analysts who develop financial models and recommendations by conducting comprehensive financial analyses.
Directs planning and forecasting activities including income, expense, and risk tolerance analysis to build a strategy used in the development of AOP (Annual Operation Plan) and LRP (Long Range Planning).
Responsible for reviewing, monitoring, and managing financial results against AOP and prior years.
Ensures quarterly reporting package is completed accurately and in accordance with company deliverable dates.
Leads the preparation of quarterly financial presentations and AOP presentations for Executive Leadership Team and the business.
Partners with accounting on daily and quarter-end results, including P&L activity, balance sheet activity and cash forecasting.
Provides insight and advice to business leaders on current trends, company initiatives and business opportunities.
Develops financial trends and projections for the business; provides insight, opportunities, and recommendations to the business.
Builds and maintains productive and positive working relationships with store and support office leaders.
Defines and implements key performance indicators and strategic objectives for the division and, as appropriate, the entire organization; facilitates measurement of those objectives, reporting results to the executive team.
Owns financial reporting tools and processes.
Maintains up-to-date financial systems knowledge.
Responsible for the execution of changes to processes and systems to facilitate expansion, compliance, and scaling of the business.
Drives expansion of business acumen across the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field.
5+ years leadership experience in a FP&A department - ex: Finance Manager, Controller, Accounting Leader, etc.
or equivalent
Strong analytical mind with a keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
A proficient understanding of financial statistics and GAAP.
Able to manage, guide, inspire and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used.
Comfortable interacting with all levels of leadership across the business.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Proficient in Microsoft Office products; expertise in MS Excel.
Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains experience preferred.
