Accounts Receivable Specialist

*Accounts Receivable Specialist* Atlas Logistics, Inc.
located in Madison, WI is seeking a highly organized, accounting minded Accounts Receivable Specialist.
This opportunity is responsible for the preparation of AIA construction contract billings, free form billings, as well as ensuring the collection and processing of payments from customers.
You will be responsible for organizing and assisting in building customer jobs from sending proposals to updating Change Orders.
Your contributions will include: * Working with Project Managers to execute AIA contract requirements.
* Entering change orders for billings and waivers to ensure pricing accuracy.
* Reconciling accounts and AIA schedules * Processing lien waivers * Running outstanding accounts receivable reports and making collection calls * Assisting with Processing customer credit payments * Generating and distributing job specific financial reports to team * Accessing and updating job records * Processing service contracts billing * Creating and distributing 3rd party reports using trade specific reporting software To be successful in this opportunity, you will need: * High School diploma or equivalent required.
* Associate degree in accounting, Finance, or related major is preferred.
In lieu of education, 3 years of accounting experience is required.
* Demonstrated knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures is required.
* 1+ years of experience with data entry and basic accounting duties required.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy required.
* Ability to perform data entry efficiently is required.
* Demonstrated organization skills are required.
* Previous experience creating, modifying, and maintaining Excel spreadsheets required.
* Previous experience and proficiency in MS Office –Word and Outlook required.
* Previous experience with accounting software required.
Experience with Computer Ease is preferred.
* Previous experience with AIA contracts and draws is preferred.
* Previous experience collecting outstanding balances is preferred.
Ability to demonstrate tenacity balanced with professionalism when collecting outstanding balances is required.
* Previous experience with a trade service provider (e.
g.
plumbing, electrical, etc.
) is preferred.
* Outstanding customer service skills when interacting with internal and external customers in both verbal and written interaction is required.
