KollathCPA is searching for a talented, enthusiastic, self-motivated *Senior Payroll Specialist *to join our fabulous payroll division, *the Organic Payroll team!*

This position is flexible in terms of work location, hybrid ideally, but fully remote work will be considered for the right person!
*Payroll Specialist Summary:*
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing all aspects of payroll accurately and efficiently not only for Kollath CPA but also for our clients that may have employees in multiple states.
To ensure that all employees receive their pay correctly the Payroll Specialist must work closely with other departments, interact, and communicate directly with their clients.
*What You'll Be Doing:*
* Input, verify and correct time records using payroll software.
* Provide employees/clients with guidance on submitting and reviewing payroll information.
* Process payrolls for clients (weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly) in multiple states ensuring all laws involving payroll and taxes are being met.
* Inform clients of federal, state, and local regulations and ensure they are meeting those requirements in applicable wage and hour laws (minimum wage, overtime, deductions, etc.
) and applicable employment practices.
* Calculate and/or verify payroll deductions, including federal, state, and local taxes, Social Security, insurance premiums, 401k contributions, and other withholdings.
* Research and correct wages, deductions and tax errors, ensuring accurate taxation and deductions are applied to each account.
* Process, balance and facilitate the transmission of incoming and outgoing ACH files.
* Balance weekly, monthly, and quarterly wage reports and filings.
* Input and maintain employee profiles in human resources system, process new hire paperwork, tax status changes, and direct deposit changes.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Associates or Bachelors recommended- equal work experience will still be considered!
* Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience, preferred.
* A working knowledge with payroll software and an advanced understanding of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
* Key competencies will include attention to detail; time management; communication; computer skills; and some mathematical skills (payroll based).
* Experience with multi-state, client-facing payrolls is highly recommended
After training period, position can be a hybrid role (on-site or remote).
