Overview:
The Wealth Operations Specialist is a senior member of the Wealth Operations team with extensive application knowledge and industry expertise.
The primary responsibility of a Wealth Operations Specialist is to support Wealth accounting systems and applications, while striving for operational excellence and an improved customer experience.
This role may include responsibility for application upgrades, management reporting projects, compliance filings, the oversight of tax-related filings and trade activity monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reports accurately within established timelines.
Accurately process daily transactions and monitor accounts.
Reconcile and balance cash on a daily basis.
Reconcile account information across multiple applications and sources.
Support front end office users.
Calculate, collect and reconcile fees.
Plan and implement application updates and upgrades as assigned.
Prepare regulatory filings as assigned.
Must stay current on regulatory changes and put into practice within established timeframes.
Special projects as assigned.
Independently handle a wide variety of situations and assignments that are non-routine.
Create, document and implement department workflows and procedures as assigned.
Workflows must address efficiency, operational excellence and the client experience.
Train new Wealth associates on Wealth applications as assigned utilizing various types of training formats.
Oversee tax reporting and filings as assigned, while meeting all government imposed deadlines.
Accurately set up and maintain asset and account coding in all Wealth applications.
Oversee the setup and maintenance of the Wealth client portal.
Oversee the setup of new accounts and the free asset movement process as assigned.
Monitor daily trade activity to ensure accurate and timely settlement of trades.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems or relevant area preferred; experience will be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum one year of experience in Wealth Operations area.
Position requires solid analytical, technical and financial skills.
Experience in data base management and system technology is preferred.
Proven leadership; ability to communicate effectively at all levels and develop rapport and relationships across the enterprise.
Must maintain current knowledge of industry specific regulations.
Understanding and strong working knowledge of MS Office products; ability to effectively utilize Bank and Wealth Operating Systems.
