Overview:
Mad City Windows and Baths is hiring an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Accounting team in Madison, WI.
This role will be responsible for facilitating vendor invoices and payments.
This role verifies and records transactions, assists with vendor discrepancies and performs other tasks ensuring bills are paid timely.

Duties
Enter all invoices into the accounting software and scan any invoices not received electronically
Accurately cost code and classify all vendor and contractor invoices
Enter invoices for utilities for all markets monthly
Enter employee reimbursements weekly
Entering permits as applicable
When no job number is provided, ask production staff for assistance to job cost
Assist with monthly vendor statements
Request W-9’s for new vendors and create vendor in accounting software
Handle related A/P month-end tasks as noted on the monthly closing spreadsheet
Assist with any other accounts payable duties as needed
Position Requirements
Associates Degree or bachelor's degree in accounting is required
2-3 years’ experience in accounts payable preferred
Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters and customer information
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft programs
Strong organizational ability and attention to details with meticulous recordkeeping
Effective corporate communication skills
Work effectively on a team and across the organization
Ability to multitask and prioritize to consistently meet deadlines
Capable of working in a fast-paced environment
