We are headquartered in Madison, WI and are seeking a candidate who is able to work remotely but can commute to the office as needed or preferred.
What you’ll do: Prepare client billings in an accurate and timely manner based on client contracts to allow for proper cash flow and month-end close.
Review client contracts and budgets associated with client invoicing.
Create and maintain client and/or program specific invoicing procedures.
Set up new programs, billable rates, and budgets in the accounting system.
Prepare unbilled revenue accruals, adjustments, advances, and percentage of completion entries and analysis.
Perform tasks associated with the general ledger accounting: journal entries and support, account reconciliations, analyses, and reports.
Assist with audit requests.
What you’ll need: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or finance (preferred) or Associate degree with equivalent experience At least 2 years’ experience in accounting Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and experience with accounting systems Solid verbal & written communication skills Effective organization skills & attention to detail Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and pivot Effective customer focus Proven problem-solving skills Analytical skills using multiple inputs Ability to think quickly and make good judgement decisions Team player with the ability to work independently Self-motivated Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
