Heavy Equipment Operators are vital team members responsible for working individually or as part of a team to assist with setup through job completion.
A Heavy Equipment Operator’s primary responsibility is to complete assigned tasks safely and accurately using various types of equipment, including but not limited to excavator, skid steer, vibratory roller, and dozer.
*Qualifications*
* Knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials and supplies used on an excavating/construction site.
* Experience or knowledge in site preparation, excavation, or gravel installation
* Experience as an equipment operator with a good safety record
* Must have a valid regular driver’s license with a good driving record
* Must be reliable to work 5 days a week in all weather conditions
* This position requires significant time doing manual labor functions, walking on uneven ground.
* Compliance with all safety regulations and reporting is mandatory.
* All applicants must be able to see, hear, speak, and write English clearly in order to communicate with employees, the public, customers, contractors, and have the ability to provide and comprehend clear instructions or directions.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent, with an understanding of basic math preferred
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Class A CDL
* Installation of exterior plumbing/piping
*Responsibilities*
* Excavate/backfill trenches, ditches, grading, and topsoil restoration
* Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
* Material handling and storage.
* Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
* Other duties as assigned.
