Job Description* *Job Title* Plant Lead *FLSA Status* Non-exempt, Hourly *Hours/Schedule* Monday – Friday, 40 hours a week *Date Created* 01/11/24 *Reports To* Plant Supervisor *Location* * W7104 County KW Juneau, WI 53039 (primary) * 172 Cross St Juneau, WI 53039 *Travel* Periodically between the two locations in Juneau *Basic Overview of Position* Motivated individual who can oversee, participate in daily plant operations, and provide additional support where needed.
This individual will be responsible for ensuring Animix is producing high quality products meeting customer specifications.
Additionally, they will be responsible for working independently and accurately while following Animix policies and procedures.
They will need to communicate effectively with employees, Customer Service, and other Animix team members.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities - *_What do the BEST performers do in this role?_ *Main responsibilities:* * To assist with all duties related to set-up and splitting to fulfill production schedule.
* To assist with all duties related to shipping and receiving of all Animix products.
* To assist in daily production duties necessary to fulfill production schedule.
* Assist in the transfer of items and products between facilities.
* To lead by example in delivering excellence in your area of responsibility.
* Participate in the training of new employees.
* Maintains cleanliness of inside/outside of plant.
* Assist in providing a clean and safe work environment.
* Ensure safe handling of all products handled.
* To follow all SOP’s, GMP’s and HACCP guidelines and regulations.
* Communicate low inventories to Plant Supervisors.
* Assist the plant supervisor with maintaining the Animix culture amongst the plant employees.

* No known allergies to milk ingredients.

*Supervisory Duties* Non-supervisory position *Organizational Interfaces - *_Who do they work with?_ * The Plant Lead reports directly to the Plant Supervisor.
* The Lead will work closely with the other members of the production team.
*Education and Work Experience * * Prior experience in a lead position (preferred) * High School diploma or equivalent *Specialized Knowledge/Skills (*Includes certifications, licenses, equipment, applications, other technology, etc.
) * Experience with material handling equipment, mixers, blenders, and baggers is a plus.
*Work Environment and Physical Demands* * Must be comfortable and safe in all Animix locations which may be production locations, etc.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $25.
