SUMMARY: This position will manage the day to day operations of the Center of Excellence Maintenance Department.
Assign work orders.
Assure timely completion of work orders in a responsible professional manner.
Troubleshoot and repair equipment problems that effect productivity of the manufacturing group.
Be involved with process improvements providing input in production problem solving as it corresponds to maintenance.
Requisition parts as necessary to maintain and repair existing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Active in troubleshooting maintenance related production problems.
Versed in PLC troubleshooting and programming when necessary.
Versed in computer (PC) fundamentals, including Microsoft Operating systems and Microsoft Office software
Assign PM's and work orders and oversee their completion through CMMS.
Maintain department metrics and measure to goals set reviewing weekly with Management
Review completed maintenance work for professionalism and accuracy.
Oversee minor projects to their completion.
Order parts as necessary for maintenance and/or repair of plant equipment.
Coordination of continuous training (internal and OEM)
Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the Maintenance Department, including scheduling and PTO Management.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
