A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PAVEMENT MARKING TECHNICIAN
In this position, each day will be different.
You will come to work and drive company vehicles to the jobsite.
You will be working with other Pavement Marking and Traffic Control Technicians to layout the markings on the road.
You will be part of deploying traffic control devices to direct traffic away from the work area.
Then it's time to operate and drive state-of-the-art pavement marking and traffic control equipment.
All of this will be done while working outdoors across the entire state of Wisconsin.
Keep in mind that not every aspect of the General Labor/Pavement Marking Technician is for everyone; but the reward of seeing a project complete and making roadways safer is worth the effort.
As a Pavement Marking Technician, you need to be willing to travel around the state of Wisconsin, working nights, weekends, and varying shifts.
You need the ability to walk long distances consistently and drive for extended periods of time while maintaining a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record.
This general labor position also requires the ability to work in differing weather conditions and the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds repetitively, reach overhead, bend, kneel, and twist.
