Working in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment, the Process Engineering Technician contributes to the Process Engineering team's four primary functions: 1) new product development, 2) support of capital equipment projects, 3) process control and troubleshooting, and 4) continuous improvement.
With knowledge of the process and equipment operation, the Process Engineering Technician collaborates with the New Product Development and production teams to create and maintain reliable manufacturing processes to maximize company profitability.
Essential Accountabilities
Contribute knowledge of Placon thermoforming process, equipment, and tooling in NPD & Engineering discussions.
Execute plans to qualify new products and materials that demonstrate process capability.
Aid in the development of technical solutions with design staff to meet customer deadlines.
Support implementation of capital equipment by learning the process and equipment, aiding in the creation of work instructions and other documentation, and training production personnel.
Improve production efficiency by working with production and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot issues.
Identify continuous improvement opportunities that will reduce process variability and inefficiencies and develop solutions that yield quantifiable results.
Learn and comply to established governances including OSHA, GMPs, ISO, and SQF.

Experience in a manufacturing environment with basic understanding of equipment
Working knowledge of various polymers (PET, PETG, HIPS, PP, etc.
) and their properties
Working knowledge of modern operational methods including Lean and Six Sigma
Minimum Qualifications
Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
High school diploma, or equivalent, and a minimum of 5 years as an Operating Technician in a thermoforming environment; OR Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent, and a minimum of 1 year as an Operating Technician in thermoforming environment
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand and sit for long periods of time.
Willingness to travel domestically.
