Job Title: Production Planner Company: HammerHead Trenchless Who Are We? HammerHead, located in Lake Mills, Wisconsin is a division of The Toro Company.
HammerHead delivers a unique combination of rehabilitation, replacement and installation equipment and consumables for the underground construction market.
Offering unmatched field support and project consultation to customers worldwide.
We are looking for a qualified Production Planner to organize production according to demand, forecast, and quality standards.
This position will ensure our goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner.
An excellent production planner is well-versed in production procedures and ways to optimize them.
They are organized and results-driven with great problem-solving skills.
Advanced communication and computer skills are very useful for the role.
Location: This role is based full time, on-site at the Hammerhead Trenchless office in Lake Mills, Wisconsin.
The selected candidate should plan the majority of their core work hours on-site, typical day shift, Monday-Friday.
Remote from other geographies is not available at this time.

What Will You Do? In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for: Implementing and driving a lean culture using lean methodologies.
Manage and create production schedule to satisfy customer demand.
Align schedule with Integrated Business Planning strategy and plant capacities.
Own and manage planning parameters, material master data in ERP system, (SAP).
Own and manage resolution process if production interruptions occur.
Strategically coordinate production plan and maintenance downtime to ensure continuity of customer service.
Regular maintenance of SAP transactional errors, working with Materials, Warehouse and Production, providing training when necessary.
Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Determine manpower, equipment and materials needed to cover production demand.
Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.
) (MPS) Review and monitor design changes, ECO’s, planning changes and model discontinuance notices to minimize material surplus or obsolescence.
Participate in monitoring/planning for timely and economical disposal of surplus, obsolete and rejected material.
What Do You Need? To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements: Critical reasoning skills and ability to listen and acquire critical information and solve problems.
Demonstrated record of working in close collaborative team environment and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Associate degree in the appropriate discipline -OR- High School Diploma or equivalent AND two years of relevant experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, and planning processes required.
Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and to interpret blueprints.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and make meaningful inferences from large sets of data.
Experience in production planning/scheduling and materials management disciplines preferred.
Experience with ERP systems required (SAP preferred).
Solid MS Word and PowerPoint skills and have advanced skills in Excel required.
Demonstrate excellent communications skills (in person, by telephone, and in writing), including a professional, self-confident image.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate up, down and across a broad swath of peer groups.
Ability to effectively challenge the current ways of working and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Self-starter with the self-discipline to schedule and complete tasks without direct supervision.
Team oriented persona who embodies the essence of “we” over “me.
” Work Environment: Primary office setting with on the shop floor activities.
Extensive use of the telephone and email communications.
Rapidly changing workloads, priorities, multiple commitments, and frequent deadlines.
Work with confidential information.
Some travel on weekends to ensure timely arrival at customer sites, travel on short notice.
Normal minimum work hours are 9 hours on-site, Monday through Friday.
Additional hours/days as required to support customers as directed.
