Description: Purpose Statement: A driver is responsible for the daily truck operations to support Installations.
Delivers and/or picks up product to/from various client sites at the direction of the scheduler or job supervisor.
Assists in the proper loading, unloading, moving and installation of product as needed.
Acts as a team player and presents themselves in a professional manner.
Essential Functions: Driving/Installation - Operates company vehicles by driving to a variety of customer locations for deliveries and/or pick-ups and assists in installation duties as needed.
Drives A&M trucks to predetermined destinations daily in a safe manner, adhering to all safety rules.
Utilizes proper equipment and techniques to load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
Inspects vehicles before and after trips and reports any discrepancies to persons responsible for fleet maintenance.
Stores product correctly to ensure no damage occurs during transport.
Assists in moving and/or installing product as needed.
Paperwork: Adheres to necessary processes to ensure accurate records.
Documents daily into ServiceTRAX all time required to complete projects.
Completes daily truck reports and DOT paperwork in a timely manner.
Compares delivery tickets to product transported to ensure accurate shipments.
Provides proper identification of returned products to warehouse personnel.
Returns completed delivery tickets daily.
Employee/Customer Relations: Provides effective communication/service to others and ensures following appropriate policy/procedures as designated by company.
Projects a positive and favorable appearance of himself/herself and of the company Conducts themselves professionally and acts appropriately always while on the job or in uniform Accepts, understands, and responds positively to feedback from superiors regarding performance or other issues Demonstrates dependability by reporting to jobsites on time ready to work regardless of the location or start time Respects co-workers, clients, and their belongings Promotes a safe work environment through active participation in company-sponsored programs and on the job processes Represents self, and the company in a professional manner always Complies with company policies and procedures as defined in the employee handbook and other business operating practices Requirements: Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to take direction and willingness to learn Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills Demonstrate effective management, including coaching and performance skills Able to work with members at different levels of ability in a team environment Must be able to develop and maintain effective relationships through excellent interpersonal skills Detail and organizationally oriented with focus on customer satisfaction Knowledge of most major lines of furniture assembly and repair Requirements: Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Flexible to accommodate changing needs in scheduling and jobs.
Work Hours: Varied based on hours defined by job.
Overtime as needed/some weekend work.
