Summary: Work within the engineering group to assist with production process development for new products and existing product refinement as well as design and implementation of production process improvements.
Processes include mechanical and electro-mechanical systems that range from high-speed robotic automation to manual assembly.
Perform new product production design, testing, and implementation.
Improve high-speed automation processes.
Identify issues with existing and new products and quickly implement cost effective solutions.
Provide engineering support in the design and layout of manufacturing equipment.
Recommend methods for improving process efficiencies, product quality, and reducing manufacturing costs.
Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment as needed (fixtures, testers, etc.
).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Enrolled in schooling towards a degree in Engineering, manufacturing, or related field required.
Minimum four semesters of related coursework completed.
3D Modeling experience preferred (SolidWorks preferred).
Experience with injection molded parts preferred.
Able to work independently with multiple projects and gain closure.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to accurately use measuring instruments and gauges.
Practical knowledge of production process and techniques
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Able to read, analyze, and interpret technical data or governmental regulations.
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems.
Able to operate machine shop equipment and work with hand tools.
Extended standing and sitting.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently.
Wears and maintains the necessary personal protective equipment.
Able to use computers competently.
