Role Summary: This position is responsible for a wide range of electrical and computer control duties involving the design, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of the electrical and computer control systems of production, the shop, and extrusion.
Top priority and the primary emphasis are designing and implementing machine control systems and automation / robotics / agv programming for industrial production machinery.
The Electrical Engineer Controls Engineer must be willing to devote whatever effort is necessary to keeping production machinery operational.
This position works closely with production and engineering team members in the design, improvement, and maintenance of electrical control systems.
This position also collaborates with the Electrical Engineering Software Engineers for any software solutions needed for their projects.

Accountable for: Collaborate with management, engineering, IT, and production.
Analyze, and develop processes for proposed technical solutions for continual improvement.
Ensure documentation of functional requirements and continuous improvements to existing processes Meet and support production needs via technical solutions Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner Analyze, track, and remediate root causes of problems, and determine preventative solutions.
Participate in the design of any integration related to production or business needs.
Educational Requirements This position requires a bachelor degree in electrical engineering or closely related field.
Experience Requirements Experience in wiring protocols Knowledge of electrical circuit design Knowledge of plc programming and controls Proficient knowledge with C and C++ Knowledge of programming in C# Ability to analyze problems, assess multiple options and provide clear recommendations Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations Plastic Ingenuity is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
