Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Lead service on assigned book(s) of business (or clients) by leveraging internal resources and delegating work utilizing appropriate resources.
Lead the renewal process for all lines of coverage.
Respond promptly and accurately to clients’ service needs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal agency partners.
Maintain advanced insurance knowledge and expertise.
Continuous education within the insurance industry.
Customer Management/Service Responsibility or Duty: Attends client meetings with Client Executive.
May conduct meetings independently when required.
Provide client services relating to assigned book of business, including but not limited to responding to customer problems relating to questions on policies, coverages, and claims resolution.
Meet with Client Executive(s) on a regular basis to discuss workload, client meetings and priorities.
Proactively work the renewal cycle on all lines of business.
Manage the renewal process including agency management documentation, verifying requested coverages, and reviewing policies for accuracy.
Proactively prepares client deliverables for renewal and new business as required by carriers and clients.
Assist in claims resolution in partnership with carriers and clients.
Identify claims trends and make recommendations in partnership with Client Executive on ways to minimize plan costs based on claims and utilization data.
Create specialized client deliverable such as stewardship reports, researching coverage options or plan benchmarking.
Handle carrier inquiries as necessary.
Meet with assigned clients when necessary.
This may involve traveling to a customer's place of business to gather policy information or deliver items of urgency.
Review and monitor daily follow-up activities.
Marketing Responsibility or Duty: Work with Client Executive(s) and carrier partners to market existing and new business.
Manage Request for Proposal process with the assistance of the Client Specialist.
Prepare applications and related information for submission on new and renewal business, based on information provided multiple resources including the client.
This position is in part responsible for gathering this data.
Prepare marketing results proposals for renewal and new business, meeting deadlines relating to meetings and policy expirations.
Assist CE in selecting potential placement markets.
Assist in cross selling by offering additional coverages to clients and referring clients to other sales areas of the organization (M3 Financial, Employee Benefits, Property & Casualty, Individual lines).
Other Responsibilities and Authorities Responsibility or Duty: Organize and prioritize workflow pertaining to assigned book of business.
Participate in meetings and assist in the development of new procedures to help streamline workflow and efficiency.
Understand agency policy and procedures, customer service standards, and regularly follow these guidelines.
Maintain professional skills with continuing education for further development.
Maintain efficient and positive relationships with CEs, other agency staff, clients, and carriers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Education Required High School or better.
Experience Required Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Windows-based software applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
Preferred Ability to work scheduled hours between office hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday - Friday.
Broad knowledge of insurance markets and reference to markets.
Broad knowledge of insurance products and usages.
Understanding of workflow procedures and sales and service processes.
Bachelor’s degree or minimum of three years insurance agency or company experience specializing in employee benefits or a minimum of three years equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
