Join our team as a Digital Merchandising Lead! This role will steer our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) sites for both Schwinn and Mongoose brands.
Through back-end infrastructure development, the Digital Merchandising Lead will drive our assortment, pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategy to ensure we have the right consumer offering.
This role will be pivotal in directing our DTC shelf strategy through assortment planning & management, site merchandising, digital marketing, and e-commerce operations.
This role is based out of Madison, WI corporate office and is eligible to participate in the company's Hybrid work program; working in the office 3 days and eligible to work remotely 2 days.
Below you will find a few (but not all) of the main responsibilities: Partner with Senior Manager Ecommerce, Brand, and Product teams to define our assortment strategies by site.
Serve as the owner of online merchandising catalog setup process, product categorization, and product cross-sell.
Determine and implement best practices in presenting our product content, taking into account UI/UX standards.
Review and analyze online competitor site merchandising, promotional execution and tactics, user experience, and product representation.
Build and evolve the onsite digital marketing strategies including SEO and Content, affiliate program, email, and product reviews.
Lead the execution of promotional assets, partnering with the rest of the creative and digital team to execute assets within their platforms.
Work with supporting departments to create and document SOPs on key DTC functions, including fraud management and prevention, payment processing, and return management.
Key Competencies Influence | Customer Orientation | Problem Solving/Decision Making | Functional/Technical Expertise | Initiative Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field 4 - 7 years of digital/ecommerce product merchandising and promotional strategy management.
Experience with Shopify required, experience with Salsify preferred.
Experience with project management/resource allocation, client relations, managing cross functional teams required.
Online experience and knowledge of web analytics, SEO, web design, site functionality, and/or digital marketing and experience in a branded product environment required.
Experience in setting and managing sales and margin goals, as well as the ability to interpret web analytics and optimize merchandising plans to drive sales.
Experience in either Toys or Sporting Goods category preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to manage communication within a highly matrixed and large organization.
