Responsibilities:
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for a content writer to work on our marketing and communications team.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborating with leadership and subject matter experts to understand and communicate business and marketing objectives;
Working with the Marketing and Communications Director, Public Relations/Digital Media Specialist, Art Manager, and Business Development to create an editorial strategy and implement content calendar across key channels including website, blog, social media, ads, collateral, and more;
Writing, editing, and proofreading a wide range of content such as blog posts, social media posts, website copy, brochures, ad campaigns, video storyboards, case studies, articles, and other internal and external collateral;
Managing content development processes from ideation to publication;
Ensuring content is optimized for web by implementing accessibility standards, web writing principles, and SEO best practices that drive traffic and conversions; and
Assisting with metric analysis to evaluate content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a combination of education and/or experience totaling eight (8) years of relevant experience.
Any of the following is acceptable: bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, public relations, English, or related discipline plus four (4) years of experience; associate degree in marketing, business, journalism, communications, public relations, English, or related discipline plus six (6) years of experience; no degree plus eight (8) years of experience.
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
Portfolio of published content demonstrating writing skills and the ability to adapt brand voice to interact with different audiences;
Ability to take complex topics, products, or services and simplify into compelling, readable, and engaging content;
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
Attention to detail with superb grammar and punctuation;
Knowledge and experience staying informed of SEO best practices, as well as researching and developing trends and best practices, such as optimizing content for AI-powered chat bots;
Experience with WordPress and Google Analytics; an
Experience in AEC, B2B, or B2G preferred.
