We are currently seeking an individual for the role of Marketing Intern.
This candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Sales teams.
They will learn about the functions of a marketing department, assist in the development of strategies, and carryout promotion plans to support USA sales team objectives.
This is a Summer internship position working 40 hours per week.
Considerable travel will be required.
USA Communications
Assist with content development and organization of Inside Semex, the internal USA staff podcast.
Contribute to the development of Discover200, Semex’s bi-annual magazine.
USA Event Planning & Execution
Assist with planning and on-site execution for USA Sales Conference.
Assist with other events, Semex or Boviteq, as necessary.
Global Marketing Event Planning & Execution
Assist the team with the organization and execution of the annual Semex Photo Contest.
Perform annual pedigree database updates for non-Holstein breeds.
Assist with Beef social media posts, monthly e-newsletter and photo database updates.
Proofread various pieces throughout the Summer and USA materials during proof production.
Intern Project
Provides Manager with weekly updates – progress on goals.
Utilizes experiences in completing an end of internship project.
Job Qualifications
College student pursuing a bachelor degree in Marketing, Communications, Agribusiness, Animal or Dairy Science, or related field is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-motivated, ability to handle multiple tasks, adjust priorities, manage time and meet deadlines.
