We are seeking an energetic, driven, and dependable Business Development Specialist to join our team.
This role will collaborate with and provide support to our Sales and Marketing staff, but their primary job junction will be lead generation, initial qualification, and setting meetings with prospective clients.
An ideal candidate is a recent college graduate or is early in their sales career and is looking for a place to gain valuable entry-level professional sales skills, learn the exciting software and app development fields, and to begin their career with a proactive, evolving sales organization.
This position has the opportunity to grow and transition into other sales roles.
Essential Job Functions:
Represent Yahara and brand in a professional, attractive light in contacting potential clients via calls, email, and social media identifying key decision makers and initial constraints
Establish and maintain effective relationships with prospective clients
Ongoing solicitation of referrals utilizing established network and networking skills
Promote company and develop personal brand by producing written and video content for LinkedIn page
Prospect ideal client organizations and roles via multiple different avenues
Research ideal client organizations to identify and outreach to key prospect contacts
Yahara event registration and outreach (tradeshow lists, Yahara event lists, ZoomInfo lists webinars, etc.
)
Monitor Yahara, industry-related, member association, and prospect organization social channels and other digital means for trending news, concepts, and to drive social conversations with engaged people.
Provide feedback and actionable recommendations to marketing staff based on experience and relationships with prospective clients.
Attend industry and location-based networking events
Attend trade shows/conferences with expected activity metrics (i.
e.
how many contacts, meetings set, etc.
)
Maintenance and upkeep of CRM
Set and confirm meetings with other sales, operations, or leadership staff—which one may or may not continue to be involved with
Provide meeting agendas, with clear expected outcomes or next steps
General Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Actively pursuing a career in sales or related field
Enrolled in, or graduated with, an Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing or related field is preferred.
Extracurricular, community or leadership involvement in delivering marketing, publication and or communication initiatives is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and reliable self-transportation are required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication skills
Strong writing skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and Outlook is required.
Keen organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and deliver assignments on time in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of clear expectations related to sales activity, meeting/exceeding those expectations
Proficiency in utilizing LinkedIn
Experience with Salesforce CRM is a plus
Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus
Experience with ZoomInfo data platform is a plus.
