*Summary:* The Internal Sales Specialist (ISS) provides excellent customer service by working with out of state school districts and staff representing the WEA Member Benefits’ (Member Benefits) personal insurance and financial service programs to Out of State (OOS) public school districts (PK-12), unions, school districts, employees and eligible family members.
The Internal Sales Specialist is responsible for researching, planning and generating new contacts, lead generation and sales opportunities.
Additionally, the ISS will help to develop strategies for approaching Out of State (OOS) school districts and eligible members.
The ISS may aid in enrolling individuals in OOS 403(b) and IRA accounts during times of peak demand.
*Accountabilities:* *70% - Member Benefits Internal Sales Specialist:* · Research, prospect and schedule potential groups, states or school districts for participation in business relationships such as 403(b) plan services, individual IRA programs, and insurance programs · Act as the internal sales liaison with school districts, union personnel, affiliated groups on all available OOS & national products and programs · Work with Field and RIS management and with marketing communications to execute strategic plans for out of state growth.
· Schedule, coordinate, and promote meetings with eligible groups and leaders.
· Work critical publicsto serve their program needs and to enhance program participation.
· Analyze Power BI data to identify and prioritize target potential partners and states.
· Assist in set up and monitoring all metrics involved in OOS reporting.
*20% Member Benefits Enrollment Growth:* · Inform and educate potential participants about the benefits of Member Benefits’ OOS products and services via phone, virtual meetings and email.
· Direct groups interested individuals with online enrollment.
· Determine whether groups and individuals meet eligibility guidelines.
· Work effectively with other consultants to meet the corporate sales/growth goals.
*10% Product Improvements:* · Monitor and report metrics, participants’ needs, and competitive pressures in the industry.
· Additional special projects as assigned.
*Required Experience and Knowledge:* · 1 year of experience in Financial Services, Marketing or related field.
· Commitment to excellence in member service and other Member Benefits values.
· Excellent consultative selling skills.
· Ability to obtain FINRA Series Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 6, 63, license within twelve months of employment.
· Ability to obtain Wisconsin life/health license within six months of employment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to compose clear, concise, and persuasive correspondence and narrative reports that communicate messages consistent with Member Benefits’ policies, plans, and provisions using appropriate spelling, tone, grammar, and word usage.
· Excellent verbal communication skills, including the ability to cold call and schedule conference calls, meetings and webinars.
· Ability to establish, monitor, and achieve goals with minimal supervision and effectively organize, prioritize, and carry out work independently.
· Ability to work cooperatively with others to develop and implement solutions that achieve mutually desired results and to work as a constructive member of a team.
· Ability to use word processing software (Microsoft Word preferred), CRM, presentation software (PowerPoint preferred), or similar programs.
· Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to effectively and competently handle multiple priorities simultaneously and the flexibility and ability to quickly adapt to changes.
· Strong attention to detail.
*Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Abilities:* · Knowledge of Retirement investments plans, Social Security (SS), and financial planning concepts *or* the willingness and the ability to gain.
· Proven ability to execute business strategies and be accountable for results.
· Successful insurance and/or financial sales experience.
· Experience working with school district administrators, school personnel and business officials.
· Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

· This position may require occasional travel.
Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.
· Must be able to work with frequent interruption.
· Low to moderate noise level.
