We are looking for an experienced Marketing Communications Manager to join our team.
This position splits time evenly with the Wisconsin Hospital Association and the Superior Health Quality Alliance.
The marketing communications manager plans, develops and executes marketing communications strategies to promote our member products, services and brand.
The primary responsibility is to effectively communicate with our target audience to drive member engagement.
This position provides evidence-based recommendations to guide organization and departmental communication strategies.
The marketing communications manager is responsible for promoting a strong and consistent brand image, developing content that engages various member audiences and measuring the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
Job Responsibilities
* Strategize best communication mechanisms and tools to meet project goals
* Create (includes writing and designing) original content based on information provided by internal content experts
* Provide marketing communications support to various projects across the organization
* Improve existing content in order to better meet the needs of its target audience
* Project management
* Data management and audience segmentation within a CRM software
* Website content management
* Edit and review internal and external materials
* Apply and enforce brand and style guidelines
* Serve as a communication liaison on project-based teams
* Support internal and external survey activities
* Coordinate events and special projects as assigned
* Other duties as assigned
Internal/External Contacts
The marketing communications manager works collaboratively with all members of the WHA communications team and will have considerable contact with senior staff.
He or she will also have contact with external vendors and will liaise with contacts from member hospitals.
Within the scope of work under the Superior Health Quality Alliance task order, this position works under the direction of the Communications Lead, but serves as a liaison between the communications team and other departments.
Knowledge & Experience
The marketing communications manager should have a bachelor’s degree in a marketing or communications-related field and should possess the following:
* 3-5 years of experience preferred managing marketing communications across various communication channels, including email marketing and audience segmentation;
* Experience maintaining and working with CRM software;
* Knowledge of social media platforms for business, including YouTube;
* Website content management experience (WordPress, Kentico) desired;
* Experience working with graphic design software (Adobe suite, Canva) desired;
* Experience tracking and measuring marketing communications campaigns.
* Salary commensurate with experience.
Scope & Challenges
This position involves a combination of regular work and special projects, requiring the ability to multi-task in fulfillment of tight deadlines.
Working Conditions
* This position works in a business environment.
* The ability to sit/stand for periods of 1 – 2 hours.
* Exposure to computer equipment.
