Position Overview The Senior Director, Consumer Marketing’s primary role is to set the vision and lead the consumer marketing, advertising and communications strategy specific to Cologuard.
This includes leading teams responsible for resource development to execute against the strategy, collaborating closely with Corporate Affairs for public relations/earned media opportunities, driving an effective paid media strategy and ensuring appropriate resource allocation across channels to optimize return on investment.
This role is responsible for establishing an omnichannel marketing approach for promotion, including leading the infrastructure build and transition to this end state.
Establishing a culture of innovation and experimentation, with strong measurement tools, will be critical for success.
Lastly, building a robust multicultural strategy to expand current Cologuard adoption across key target segments will be a critical deliverable necessary to achieve long-term product goals.
This role will be a member of the senior leader marketing team, reporting directly to the Vice President, Screening Marketing.
Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Lead and develop Cologuard promotional & content strategy, inclusive of marketing/sales materials to support direct-to-consumer prospecting.
Responsible for ensuring branding, creative advertising, and messaging align to strategy for Cologuard.
Contribute to strategic development (alongside media planning lead), and oversees execution of, multi-channel paid media plan, and necessary content strategy, to achieve & exceed goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
This also includes owned channels.
Manage multiple external creative and media agencies to deliver against the plan and within budget.
Lead teams to ensure appropriate development of consumer materials in accordance with legal, regulatory, and medical policies.
Support key direct-to-consumer (DTC) elements of the Cologuard lifecycle plans, including launch execution for future iterations of Cologuard and relevant screening pipeline initiatives.
Effectively manage the largest marketing budget in the company.
Ensure appropriate tracking, invoicing and reconciliation occurs.
Analyze primary and secondary market research, measure, and track performance of key tactics through commercial analytics.
Effectively work with internal cross-functional teams, external partners, including the professional agency and project teams to achieve excellence.
Work closely with Customer Experience to ensure adherence program aligns with brand strategies to advance compliance and re-screen completions.
Work across all of Cologuard Marketing (healthcare provider, health systems, organized customers) and Local Market Field Leadership to deliver tailored engagements that address specific customer needs, while ensuring delivery of a common and aligned brand strategy.
Supervise staff; including, but not limited to, organize and prioritize work, write/conduct performance reviews, train/develop, and manage work performance.
Communicate goals clearly to employees to ensure understanding and success in achieving them.
Motivate and inspire employees to do their best work through coaching.
Maintain morale and support employee engagement initiatives.
Manage and prioritize strategies, initiatives, and workload independently and proactively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Ability to work on a mobile device, tablet, or in front of a computer screen and/or perform typing for approximately 90% of a typical working day.
Ability and means to travel between Madison locations.
Ability to travel 25% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
12+ years of experience in marketing or brand management.
5+ years of direct leadership experience; including hiring coaching and developing talent.
Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Direct-to-consumer brand marketing experience with large revenue-generating brands ($1B+) across a variety of industries/categories.
Experience with Agile approach to marketing, experimentation, and innovation.
Salary Range: $204,000.
00 - $326,000.
00 The annual base salary shown is for this position located in US - WI - Madison on a full-time basis.
In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
