Group Health Cooperative of South Central Wisconsin.
BETTER TOGETHER Under the direction, guidance and general supervision of the Sales Manager, the Sales Executive (New Business Development) is responsible for maintaining contact with Insurance Agents/Agencies, and the health benefits decision makers of employer groups, unions, and local government units.
The Sales Executive (New Business Development) prospects for new group sales, either directly or through agencies, conducts on-site presentations to potential new group accounts, and coordinates new group enrollments.
Once sold, the Sales Executive coordinates transition of the new group to the Account Executive for servicing of the account.
The incumbent knows and abides by all Group Health Cooperative of South-Central Wisconsin (GHC-SCW) organizational and departmental policies, sets personal standards and strives for high quality work in completing assignments, performs job duties in a timely manner, and represents the organization in a positive manner.

JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS 1.
High school graduation or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in marketing, sales, insurance, or other health related or communication studies preferred.
2.
Minimum of three (3) years of sales/marketing experience required.
Experience in Healthcare related and / or insurance sales is highly desirable.
3.
Ability to obtain and active pursuit of a Wisconsin health/life insurance license required.
Possession of a Resident Insurance Intermediary Agent License in Accident & Health and Life with the State of Wisconsin is preferred.
Must obtain license within six (6) months of employment.

Possession of a valid State of Wisconsin Driver's License and a good driving record is required.
Possession of own transportation required 5.
Ability to be comfortable making cold calls is required.
6.
Knowledge of the principles and practices of sales and marketing.
A demonstrable capacity to keep abreast of new technology trends.
7.
Excellent formal presentation skills before both small and larger groups.
Good public speaking skills required.
8.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills including ability to provide telephone support and consultation.
