Retail Sales Associate

Steve’s on Junction Road is looking for a part-time retail specialist with an interest in high-end wine, beer, or spirits and wants to share that with others.
The average amount of hours for this position is 12-20 per week and night/weekend availability is a must.
Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours each.
*Examples of duties and responsibilities:* * Deliver excellent customer service to a knowledgeable and curious customer base.
* Using available resources to stay up to date on products, specials, and general happenings related to the store.
* Work with customers to determine their needs and make educated recommendations.
* Building and taking down case displays as needed * Working collaboratively with coworkers to problem solve * Working independently to assure store is presented well, including but not limited to: cleaning, stocking, and organizing floor stock and back stock.
* Operating a cash register in an efficient manner.
*Sales Associate Skills* * Customer service experience * Cash handling experience * Beverage industry experience preferred but not required * An enthusiastic interest in high-end wine, beer, and/or spirits * Some night and weekend availability is required.
* Strong communication skills * Self-motivated and able to stay on task for the duration of a shift * Ability to be on your feet for the duration of a shift (up to 8 hours) * Ability to lift up to 40 lbs semi-frequently * Must be 21 years or older *About us:* Steve’s on Junction Road is an independent, locally-owned and operated small business that values collaboration and creativity.
