Job Summary:
Manages the daily operations of radiation therapy services.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with developing departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
Assesses quality of patient care and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
Oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
Oversees departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, contracts, and vendor relations.
Collaborates with physicians and staff as new techniques/procedures are developed and introduced into service.
Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective delivery of health services.
Responsible for ensuring all department activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Responsible for ensuring prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Associate's degree
EXPERIENCE
Five years' experience, with two years' in leadership
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Constant standing and walking.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent lifting/moving of patients.
Frequent reaching, gripping and keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.
Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Rare kneeling and sitting.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
