Date Posted: 2024-02-12 Country: United States of America Location: OT076: CMM - Madison, WI 3202 Progress Road, Madison, WI, 53716 USA Otis Elevator is seeking an experienced Manager and General Manager to lead our team in the growth of all business segments in the critical Wisconsin area market.
This position will be responsible for both sales and field operations by providing direction and leadership for continuous improvement initiatives, developing and leading a high performing team, and meeting or exceeding the region’s business objectives.
Essential Responsibilities Meeting all financial performance targets including profit and working capital for 3 large branches Nurture relationships with existing key customers; consultants; general contractors and strategically develop new ones Ongoing coaching, training, mentoring, motivating, and developing general managers, sales, and field operation associates in all areas of the business Oversight of all staffing activities, including hiring and retaining a group of salaried and field associates as well as partnering with Human Resources for short and long-term strategies Oversee sales strategy including integration of sales growth; pricing analysis and market segment share objectives for assigned branches Refine existing programs and develop & lead new ones to increase sales, awards and bookings Work collaboratively with the senior regional leadership team and regional functional leaders to identify and help execute strategic goals and objectives Assess patterns of complaints and determine solutions to ensure customer satisfaction Drive a safety culture throughout territory through communication, discipline, recognition and train Provide coaching and oversight across business segments to execute a quality turnover product and process Lead forecast meetings for sales associates in the branch Drive Performance to Estimate in the branch offices Ensure adherence to Sales Installation Process (SIP) Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree required Masters’ degree preferred Basic Qualifications 10+ years of combined sales, field operations, and/or branch leadership experience required Ability to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environment Candidate must demonstrate strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers Needs to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities Successful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software Strong leadership skills, customer focus, ability to drive results, goal-orientated, with strong time management and organizational skills Additional Qualifications Prior P&L experience Travel: Travel Required (approximately 10%) Otis is the world’s largest elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service business.
