*Farmers Implement* is looking for a detail-oriented Service Manager to manage our agriculture service department and handle customer service interactions, reports, and repairs.
The service manager's responsibilities include providing the highest level of customer service, developing lasting customer relationships, and managing the service team members.
The service manager maintains a strong working knowledge of all industry standards and practices as well as the company's products and services.
To be successful as a service manager, you should display a strong results-minded attitude as well as excellent leadership skills.
You should also have the ability to manage and lead diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment.
*Service Manager Responsibilities:* * Delegating and directing service tasks, monitoring the progress of current projects, and managing service team members to ensure the team's objectives and goals are met.
* Analyzing costs to assure profit targets are achieved.
* Assisting with or performing administrative tasks, such as managing and updating invoices, processing new work orders, and tracking inventory.
* Monitoring department issues and customer complaints to create methods to lessen recurring issues.
* Auditing work and customer service to ensure the company's high standards, efficiency, quality, and productivity goals are met.
* Training new technicians in company procedures and work standards.
* Ensuring that all manufacturer warranty and Product Improvement Programs are completed according to manufacturer's requirements in a timely manner.
* Ensuring the satisfaction of customers through correct diagnosis of problems and the completion of repairs in a timely and cost-effective manner.
* Collaborating with shop foreman and warranty administrator to ensure most effective and efficient service in completing repairs/maintenance of equipment.
*Service Manager Requirements:* * Progressive agriculture/construction equipment related work experience and education preferred.
* Outstanding skills in diagnosing and determining repairs for equipment.
* In-depth knowledge of OEM requirements.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
* Experience in identifying and resolving a wide range of failures and inconsistencies in equipment.
* Computer literacy and good organizational skills.
* Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
* The ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
