org Position Details Position Start Date 8/27/2024 Terms/Schedule Full Time Appointment Type Full Time Description GENERAL FUNCTIONS: The Secondary Special Education and Transition Coordinator provides support for the Middle School and High School special education programs.
A primary responsibility of this position is providing support to case managers in developing transition programming for students with disabilities.
The Coordinator will provide oversight and supervision of special education transition and alternative programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist secondary special education case managers in the coordination and implementation of ongoing transition activities that fall on a continuum of options.
Ongoing development, implementation and supervision of innovative programs (Sauk Prairie Explore, Community Based Education and Learning, Sauk Prairie Works) that support the learning needs of students at the middle school and high school levels.
Assist the building administration in coaching special education staff, including related services staff, and completing the Educator Effectiveness processes.
Collaborates with the Program Support Teachers at the Middle School and High School.
Serve as the Local Education Agency (LEA) representative for IEP meetings.
Support student-specific program development and implementation.
Assist in supporting the social emotional needs of students in both buildings Required License: Special Education AND Administration License (51,10, or 80) Level: Early Adolescence through Adolescence All applicants must apply via WECAN at https://wecan.
