Description
The Sauk Prairie School District is seeking a student-centered, technology-savvy, energetic educator with a passion for teaching to join our Careers and Technical Education Department as our Computer Literacy Teacher in the Sauk Prairie School District.
This position supports students in grades 6-8 in the areas of keyboarding, academic technology skills, and coding.
The successful candidate would be instrumental in developing a Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Gateway program at the Middle School.
In addition to exemplary credentials in middle level education, science, technology, and/or engineering, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated history that would include the following experiences and dispositions:
Use of data to inform programming goals and evaluate student progress
Comfort and expertise in growing students within a project-based learning environment
Knowledge and implementation of trauma-informed instructional practices
Content-area literacy instruction
A passion for working with Middle School students
District Description: The district includes Sauk City and Prairie du Sac, two “next door” villages known as Sauk Prairie.
They are located on the beautiful Wisconsin River.
Thirteen towns and the village of Merrimac are also in the district.
The area features rolling hills, meadows, bluffs, forests, lakes and streams.
The district offers small-town, rural living with easy access to the Madison urban area (25 miles) and to the Wisconsin Dells recreation area (28 miles).
The district serves 2,800 students and is comprised of six learning communities with a high school of 850 students, a middle school of 600 students, and four elementary schools of 1,350 students.
