This role requires a caring and dedicated individual who is passionate about providing quality care to individuals in their own home.
*Schedule for this is ON CALL/AS NEEDED, Monday through Friday from 7am to 3pm.
Occasional start time at 5:15am.
*Teacher assistants, paraprofessionals, ABA therapists, behavioral technicians, occupational therapy assistants, someone with passion and experience in caregiving and advocating for kids or adolescents, etc.
would be a great fit for this position.
Duties:
- Provide in-home care and support to a young adult with autism.
- Provide positive role modeling and engage in age-appropriate activities with the individual.
- Incorporate daily living skills learning with tasks throughout the day.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment
- Respect and uphold the rights of the individual, ensuring their privacy and dignity
- Community Outings
Skills:
- Knowledge of different developmental disabilities
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Patience, empathy, and a compassionate approach to caregiving
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for the individual's privacy
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
