Adapted Recreation - Fitness Instructor
MSCR or Madison School & Community Recreation is Madison’s public recreation provider.
We offer everything you would find in your typical community rec department in an accessible, inclusive setting.
Programs include swimming, arts & enrichment, adult & 50+ fitness, sport leagues, outdoor pursuits and more.
As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District(MMSD), we also provide afterschool and summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools.
Program Description:
All adapted fitness programs are open to individuals with disabilities ages 18+ and their caregivers.
Participants 14-17 may register if accompanied by a caregiver.
Job Description & Duties:
Plan and lead fitness programming for people with disabilities - Chair exercise, Dance & Move, Yoga.
Supervise up to one other staff working with people with disabilities.
Work Location: MSCR West, MSCR Central, MSCR East
Hours/week: Up to 8 hours/week
Work hours: Various - afternoon/evening

Minimum Qualifications:
Experience teaching adult fitness
Experience working with people with disabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
Adult exercise certification
