Youth Sports Instructor
MSCR or Madison School & Community Recreation is Madison’s public recreation provider.
We offer everything you would find in your typical community rec department in an accessible, inclusive setting.
Programs include swimming, arts & enrichment, adult & 50+ fitness, sport leagues, outdoor pursuits and more.
As a department of the Madison Metropolitan School District(MMSD), we also provide afterschool and summer programming in Madison elementary, middle and high schools.
Program Description:
MSCR Youth sports programs/classes runs year round.
We offer youth programs/classes on the week day evenings and Saturdays for ages 3-14 yr olds.
Job Description & Duties:
Youth sports Instructors are expected to plan and lead a group of Elementary and Middle school participants in the instruction of the basic skills and fundamentals of the sport.
The emphasis is on skill building, fun, fitness, making new friends, sportsmanship and learning the sport.
As a Youth sports Instructor, you are responsible for promoting this atmosphere while keeping play safe and fun.
Work Location: Various schools around the city / MSCR West
Hours/week: Up to 18.
5 hours per week.
Work hours: Weekday evenings and Saturday mornings

Payrate: 17.

Minimum Qualifications:
Sports playing background with experience in youth leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to stand and run for long periods of time.
