Our non-profit firm is seeking one full-time Upward Bound (UB) Advisor to help those we serve achieve their dreams.
The home office is located in Madison, WI at Madison East High School.
The UB Advisor oversees the administration of the Upward Bound Program.
They plan, implement, monitor, and evaluate all UB services provided by program staff.
PRIMARY DUTIES INCLUDE
Give informative presentations to potential participants and their parents, school staff, and relevant community organizations regarding the program and participant eligibility.
Monitor program in compliance with TRIO, EDGAR, OMB Circulars, Grant Application, Annual Performance Report, and the approved UB proposal.
Monitor student academic progress and standardized test scores through written curriculum.
Assist the UB/JAG Manager in selecting assessment tools; identify and develop technology aids; and writing grant proposals.
Conduct weekly visitations with participants in each target high school.
Recruit and select program participants based upon verification of participants’ eligibility as directed by the Department of Education, develop recruiting materials and maintain the required number of participants.
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship with guidance counselor staff, administration, support staff, and teachers.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field, high school teaching experience, and three (3) plus years work-related experience with supervisory responsibilities and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid Wisconsin Teaching License is preferred.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
FSC offers a very competitive wage for this full-time, non-exempt position with a minimum starting rate of $70,800.
84/year with additional compensation based on direct experience beyond the minimum requirements.
Example: Meet only minimum requirements start at $70,800.
84/year; with 3 additional years of direct experience start at $71,862.
86/year; 5 additional years of direct experience $74,034.
91/year, etc.
