The Acquisitions Registrar is a key collaborator in the object acquisition process, and in the documentation, care, and exhibition of the collection.
As part of a collaborative team of curators, collections managers, and acquisitions staff, the Acquisitions Registrar helps build and care for a collection of mor e than 750,000 objects documenting the archaeological past up to current events.
The WHS Collections Division is actively planning for a new history center.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to ensure legal paperwork related to object donation and the object collection is complete, accurate, and maintained appropriately; process incoming donations and create object records in Argus (the WHS's collections management database); and participate in the exhibit design process.
The Acquisitions Registrar is also responsible for the WHS's incoming and outgoing loans program.
