Work Schedule :
40% FTE, Variable shifts.
Shifts can be scheduled Monday - Thursday 5:45 AM - 9:00 PM, Fridays 5:45 AM - 7:00 PM, Saturdays 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM and Sundays 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

We are seeking an Exercise Specialist to:
Design developmentally appropriate training programs and modify programs to fit the needs of the athlete.
Implement a long-term athlete development plan using a sound youth athlete development philosophy.
Effectively communicate with athletes, parents, coaches, and administrators.
Assess athlete function related to movement skills, developmental and performance measures.
Assist with development, marketing, and promotion of sports performance programs.
Actively participate in staff education sessions.
Education :
Minimum – bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field
Preferred – master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Strength and Conditioning or related field.
Work Experience :
Minimum – One (1) year of experience in sports performance training.
Preferred – Three (3) years of experience working with athletes from a variety of backgrounds in training and conditioning.
Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum –
BLS Certification.
Obtain a national certification by at least one of the following organizations within 6 months from hire:
CSCS – National Strength and Conditioning Association
Sports Performance Coach – USA Weightlifting
Club Coach – USA Weightlifting
PES – National Academy of Sports Medicine
CSCC – National Strength and Conditioning Association
Preferred – Certification by the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification.
Movement-based assessment and evaluation certification.
