ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
Madison Country Day School is seeking an experienced professional Assistant Director of Facilities.
The Assistant Director of Facilities is responsible for supporting the Director of Facilities with the routine care and maintenance of our beautiful building and campus.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic team player who is optimistic, and flexible, and demonstrates patience and understanding to ensure exceptional customer service.
Essential Functions: Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems Have computer/smartphone skills to utilize online facilities management system Facilitate vendor relations for furniture, cleaning, landscaping, building maintenance, and any necessary departmental purchases.
Conduct routine inspections, identify maintenance needs, and manage repairs through vendors.
Collaborates with program and staff leadership, to understand special needs and maintain quality of support to the mission (e.
g.
academic leaders, food service, athletics, technology, security).
Provides facilities support to campus events (e.
g.
setups and takedowns) Provides daily cleaning & custodial support to school operations Schedules and performs regular preventive maintenance on all building systems, including, roofs, finishes, safety and monitoring systems Ability to perform landscape and athletic field maintenance duties Ability to work a flexible schedule around the needs and events of the school year Frequently lift equipment and materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
Communication skills (oral and written) and confidence in conveying information to all types of members of the community, including teachers, administrators, trustees, parents, students Commitment to the institution’s needs and readiness to respond 24/7/365 as reasonable and necessary Have a sense of humor, and the ability to work well within a collaborative environment Work in a wide variety of environments as found in all areas of the school.
