Position begins approximately August 19, 2024.
Overview: Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Teacher for the 2024-25 school year.
Monona Grove Liberal Arts Charter School for the 21st Century (MG21) is seeking a qualified educator to join our middle campus team.
The MG21 Middle Campus is a multiage project based school designed to serve 40-50 students in grades 6-8.
MG21 Middle Campus focuses on relationships, wellness and education for the whole child.
Our school is committed to restorative justice practices, equity, social justice, outdoor wilderness education and stewardship in combination with rigorous academic skills.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement a project-based curriculum that includes reading, writing, math, science and the arts.
Develop and facilitate project based activities.
Promote wellness through outdoor leadership and environmental stewardship.
Co-manage school related tasks (i.
e.
administrative, purchasing, community relations, etc.
)
Network within the community to develop resources and contacts for PBL projects.
Design and deliver curriculum for students’ social emotional growth and wellness.
Design and implement multiple assessments and provide continuous, descriptive feedback to guide all students to improve their academic competence and identity as a learner.
Coplan with colleagues to differentiate instruction and meet the learning needs of diverse students
Collaborate and learn with colleagues; be receptive to new ideas; take appropriate risks to implement best practices.
Bring an equity lens to work and create a space for conversations about equity.
Continually expand personal professional growth and development via conferences, education and collaboration.

Strong curriculum writing skills and experience with project based curriculum.
Ability to teach reading and math to middle school students.

Experience working with diverse learners using culturally responsive practices and proactive behavior strategies and supports.
Experience implementing restorative justice in school settings is preferred.
Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use technology in support of learning and instruction.
Strong organizational skills and ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects
License Requirement:
Valid WI DPI teaching license through Grade 8 required or ability to obtain licensure upon hire ability to obtain licensure upon hire.
Alternative Education (1952) preferred.
