Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified French Teacher to serve grades 9 - 12.
This position has the opportunity to increase to 1.
0 FTE if the selected candidate is licensed in French and Spanish (see License Requirement section below).
Responsibilities:
Serve as a French teacher in support of all learners and co-plan to co-serve with teams of teachers in inclusive classroom settings.
Monitor students’ academic and behavioral progress (through data collection and analysis) to guide instructional decisions.
Monitor and address IEP goals as necessary.
Apply principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) through multiple means of representation, engagement, and assessment supporting reciprocal learning strategies.
Support proportional representation of all learners in all classrooms.
Communicate proactively and effectively with other teachers and administrators.
Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers, to provide a range of academic and social-emotional support to students in inclusive classroom settings.
Collaborate with school improvement teams and align practice with the MGSD Equity Non-Negotiables.
Establish effective rapport and build strong relationships with students.
Develop positive relationships and engage in open reciprocal communication with parents and families.
Attend work regularly.
Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master's Degree preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
Familiar with Response to Instruction (RtI) processes, including progress monitoring and using data to guide instruction.
Knowledge of Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).
Experience working with diverse learner and support culturally responsive practices.
Ability to use technology in support of learning and instruction.
Ability to work positively and productively as an active member of a vibrant teaching team.
License Requirement:
Valid WI Department of Public Instruction French (1355) license, or ability to become licensed upon hire or eligible for emergency license, required.
Grades 9 through 12

Valid WI Department of Public Instruction Spanish (1365) license, or ability to become licensed upon hire or eligible for emergency license, required.
