Season begins approximately August 12, 2024.
Overview: The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Varsity Girls Swim Coach.
Responsibilities: Develop a comprehensive swimming program for all grades K-12.
Manage and evaluate equipment and inventory needs.
Understand and be responsible for purchase orders related to the swim program.
Monitor and enforce district academic standards and policies.
Practice and promote positive interaction with and among student-athletes, the school and community.
Demonstrate knowledge of and ability to implement effective coaching theory, strategies, and techniques appropriate for high school student-athletes.
Positively motivate student athletes to instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork.
Supervise players at practices, games, or any time they are representing the district swim program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Experience in coaching required.
Experience in coaching swimming preferred.
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of swimming in both practice and meets preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to contribute in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work with high school aged students.
License Requirement: Certified Teaching License and/or ASEP/CNLT Certification.
First Aid/CPR Certification required upon hire.
