Monona Grove School District has an opening for a 1.
0 FTE Long Term Business Education Substitute Teacher at Monona Grove High School.
This position is expected to last from March 4, 2024 - June 3, 2024; however, an earlier start date is available based on district needs.
Overview:
The Monona Grove School District is seeking a qualified Long-Term Business Education Substitute Teacher to serve grades 9 - 12.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Business Education Teacher in support of all learners and co-plan to co-serve with teams of teachers in inclusive classroom settings.
Monitor students’ academic and behavioral progress (through data collection and analysis) to guide instructional decisions.
Monitor and address IEP goals as necessary.
Apply principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) through multiple means of representation, engagement, and assessment supporting reciprocal learning strategies.
Support proportional representation of all learners in all classrooms.
Communicate proactively and effectively with other teachers and administrators.
Collaborate with colleagues, including special education teachers, to provide a range of academic and social-emotional support to students in inclusive classroom settings.
Collaborate with school improvement teams and align practice with the MGSD Equity Non-Negotiables.
Establish effective rapport and build strong relationships with students.
Develop positive relationships and engage in open reciprocal communication with parents and families.
Attend work regularly.

Experience in teaching various content areas preferred.
Experience with differentiating instruction preferred.

Familiar with Response to Instruction (RtI) processes, including progress monitoring and using data to guide instruction.
Knowledge of and experience with Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).
Experience working with diverse learners and supporting culturally responsive practices.
Ability to use technology in support of learning and instruction.
Ability to work positively and productively as an active member of a vibrant teaching team.
License Requirement
Valid WI Department of Public Instruction Business Education (1250) license, or ability to obtain license upon hire required
Early Adolescence – Adolescence or;
Grades 6 through Grade 12 or;
Grades 9 through Grade 12
