Job Summary:
The Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a full-time, tenure- track, faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor with teaching and research focus on development economics.
This is an academic (nine-month) faculty appointment.
The successful applicant will join a development economics group with a vibrant program of research and graduate advising on a campus with broad and deep international expertise in the social sciences.
The person hired will conduct research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and serve as an advisor to graduate and undergraduate students in the field of international development economics.
Individuals will have the opportunity to collaborate with AAE colleagues and others in the University of Wisconsin System and to participate in AAE's undergraduate and graduate programs.

Responsibilities: Develop and carry out a vigorous externally funded research program and publish in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

The successful candidate will be expected to secure extramural funding.
Research collaborations with other faculty in our department, and across campus, are encouraged.

The teaching load is two courses per year.
