Job Summary: Are you passionate about teaching and empowering future nurses? UW-Madison School of Nursing is seeking committed and enthusiastic Clinical Faculty to join our team.
As Clinical Faculty, you will have the opportunity to share your knowledge and expertise with the next generation of nurses, ensuring they receive a comprehensive education and are well-prepared for their professional careers.
In this role, you will work closely with nursing students in traditional and accelerated programs and may be assigned to provide hands-on instruction and guidance in classrooms, simulated care environments, and through experiential learning in acute care and community health settings.
Depending on expertise, qualifications, and program needs, it is possible to be assigned to teach in graduate programs such as Doctor of Nurse Practice or PhD.

Responsibilities: Essential Responsibilities: *Teach in baccalaureate (accelerated, traditional, and AD to BSN completion) or DNP programs as appropriate to expertise and program needs.
*Teach using strategies to include active learning, simulated experiential learning, and clinical experiential learning in hospital or other health care settings or in community care situations as required by course assignments.
*Teach using accepted course descriptions, course objectives, and content delivery approaches including assuring that students meet expectations for required clinical hours if assigned to teach clinical courses.
*Collaborate with other faculty on curriculum and course planning at the graduate and undergraduate levels, using concept-based and competency-based teaching and learning assessment strategies.
*Contribute to the School of Nursing mission through service activities (e.
g.
, governance committees, outreach activities, or project task groups).
*Pursue areas of scholarly interest (e.
g.
, evaluation studies to improve teaching and learning).
*Collaborate with colleagues in practice settings through academic-practice partnerships to contribute to student learning, practice improvement, or community outreach.
*Work to support and enhance the diversity, climate, and inclusive excellence of the School of Nursing.
*Engage in other activities appropriate to a member of the School of Nursing academic community such as attending School meetings, participating in faculty development activities, and contributing to meeting the mission and vision of the School.

Education: Required Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred Terminal Degree Doctoral degree (Doctor of Nursing, PhD, or other doctoral degree) or a degree at least one level above the level of instructions, or otherwise approved by the Dean.
Qualifications: *One or more years of experience in teaching at undergraduate or graduate levels in nursing, or in professional staff development in acute care settings; and *Three or more years of professional experience in an acute care setting as a registered nurse (RN), advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest in and commitment to the teaching mission of the School of Nursing.
Experience with clinical instruction, active learning, concept-based teaching, simulation, and inter-professional education is desirable.
Individuals with certification as advanced practice registered nurses, clinical nurse specialists, or as nurse educators are highly encouraged to apply, however, certification is not required.
Appointments for candidates prepared at the Masters level will be at the rank of Clinical Instructor.
Appointments for candidates prepared at the doctoral level will typically be at the Clinical Assistant Professor rank depending on prior teaching experience.
License/Certification: Required RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure RN licensure or eligibility for licensure in Wisconsin Work Type: Full Time: 100% This position requires most work to be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus or clinical work location.
Appointment Type, Duration: Ongoing/Renewable Anticipated Begin Date: JANUARY 04, 2024 Salary: Minimum $90,750 ANNUAL (12 months) Depending on Qualifications The expected salary for this position starts at a rate of $90,750.
This is an A-basis (12-month) position.
Actual pay will depend on experience and qualifications.
