Job Summary:
The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position.
Desirable candidates should be able to provide exemplary undergraduate instruction and graduate student training, and secure extramural funding to support distinguished research in an area of Physical Activity and Health, Health Promotion, Health Education and/or Health Equity.
Appointment start date will be August 19, 2024.
Appointment will be full time for the nine-month academic year.
Salary is competitive and contingent on experience and qualifications.
Additional remuneration for summer session teaching is possible.
Responsibilities: 1) Establish an independent research program and pursue extramural funding to support it.
2) Design and deliver undergraduate and graduate courses within the Health Promotion and Health Equity and/or Kinesiology majors.
3) Serve as a research advisor and mentor for undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students.
4) Participate in faculty governance and other service to the university, department, and profession.

Post-doctoral research experience (preferred).
Evidence of success securing extramural funding (preferred).

Expertise in one or more of the following research areas: (a) Physical Activity and Health, (b) Health Promotion or Health Education, (c) Health Equity or Health Disparities (d) Health Education within historically underrepresented groups (e) Other related research focus.
Work Type: Full Time: 100% It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
