Overview
The Richardson School is now accepting applications for an Instructional Aide position.
The Instructional Aides are responsible for providing direct care to students and those participating in camp, respite, and other programs.
Assists students/program participants in meeting their educational, treatment, behavioral, and hygiene needs as identified.
The Richardson School provides a year-round school option for local districts to access for children with special needs.
Typically, these children have been dually diagnosed with developmental or neurological disabilities and emotional, behavioral or mental health disorders.

As an Instructional Aid having empathy and understanding of the emotional and developmental disabilities of the people you serve is essential.
The Richardson School will provide training to use proper interventions and approaches while helping students with their daily needs.
As an Instructional Aide, you will:
Help students with personal cares
Be involved in behavior/crisis intervention
Administer medication
Incident report-writing
Facilitate learning activities for students
Accompany students and camp attendees on outings/field trips
WAGES & BENEFITS
Full time, 1st shift-8am-4pm
Pay rate: $20/hr.

Requires High school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of experience working with special needs students is valued and encouraged
