Educational Assistant - Long-Term Substitute in Special Education

The School District of Lodi is seeking a full time, long-term substitute special education assistant to join our team at Lodi High School.
Special Education Assistants provide support to students with disabilities in 1 on 1, small group, and large group settings during instructional times as well as providing behavioral and self regulation support based on the students’ needs.
Requirements: * Have a good work ethic and be able to work with minimal supervision.
* Have patience.
* Be able to effectively communicate and work closely with other staff.
* Be able to take direction from special and regular education teachers.
* Have a desire to work with students with a range of needs, abilities, & disabilities.
* Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
* Knowledge of disabilities is desirable.
Qualifications: * Must have previous experience with children and preferably experience with children with disabilities.
* Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, TB screening, drug test and background test if necessary Please include a Letter of Interest and a Letters of Recommendation with phone numbers.
