The successful candidate will provide assistance to students with disabilities in 1 on 1, small group, and/or whole group settings during instructional times as well as providing behavioral support.
Daily responsibilities may also include crossing guard duty, outside supervision, and/or lunchroom supervision.
A successful candidate must be friendly, patient, outgoing, flexible, organized and enjoy working with students with disabilities (including students with significant behavioral challenges).
Educational assistants must communicate with students in a positive manner, have a strong work ethic, and be able to work under teacher supervision.
Candidates must be able to supervise both small and large groups of students, be able to sit on the floor, stand for long stretches of time, and walk briskly.
This position is 5.
75 hours per day, 5 days per week, and follows the school year calendar.
